pretty nails

ooooh chide me for being extravagant,...but i actually love having pretty nails!!! :)

i went for a pedicure & manicure for the first time today, and haha :), am embarassed to say that i enjoyed it more than i thought i would, EVER.

had some awesome krista-serena time together, had some lunch, went to the spa, then some shopping.

hees :) now my nails are a pretty pinkish.

the wii

i'm not usually into game consoles (i was hooked on atari for a bit but that was a really long time ago), but this nintendo wii is fun!!!

had the chance to play golf (yucks, still hate the game), boxing, fishing, baseball, but tennis was definitely the most fun. :) actually gives you a workout too. or maybe i'm just not that fit.

so those out there with kids. if you need to purchase a game for your kids, consider the wii. at least some games are not just mindless bashing (though i like the shooting games too).

p.s. i don't want one.

I JUST SAW HER!!!

the person who. BANGED. my car. like 2 months ago. at work. (okay fine, scratched). the person who didn't own up to it although i left two nice notes on the culprit's car.

turns out she's this indian lady. arghhhhh i feel like hitting her head. i mean. granted, the scratch wasn't that huge, but it was definitely visible, and definitely the first scratch my car got. and what pisses me off is that she didn't even own up to it.

maybe i should bang her car instead.

is it bad when someone likes you too much?

i was chatting with a best friend when she told me that she could not date this guy because he liked her too much. which got me pondering,...IS it a bad thing?

initially i agreed. i know it sounds horrible, but from a girl's (and i definitely think a guy too) perspective, overtime attention is sometimes very overwhelming. when he's willing to drop anything for you, and suit your needs, without you needing to compromise much.

but i realize, it COULD work out. even if he's gaga-head-over-heels over you. you just need to be equally gaga over him (gross, but true). and yes, sometimes you need someone to set you boundaries, but if you care about him enough, you'll WANT to reciprocate the attention he gives you.

oh well. :) i've grown older i realize.

lost wallet

*ALMOST*.

i don't know why. i've never lost an item before (not even a sock), but in the last 6 months, i've lost my wallet, twice. the first time it was stolen (my very favorite wallet too :( ) but this time, i beautifully LEFT it in a cabbie. paid him, then got out of the cab without it.

and both times in chicago. i mean. i love this city, but something's gotta be jinxed about this.

so i had a morning full of panic attacks (called up every cab company in the city and begged to be connected to every cab driver #722 ("is he african american? yup, i noticed he had a nice accent")). finally located him (after tons of pleading with horrible dispatchers), but it wasn't to be found anywhere (i did believe him when he said he couldn't find it, seemed to be a nice enough chap).

finally i dialed my work voicemail to find a new message waiting for me. thankfully i had at some random moment decided to carry a business card in my wallet (for recruiting purposes), and some dude had called me to tell me that he picked up my wallet since he was the next one in the cab. he apparently didn't trust the cabbie to return it to me (who is, for the record, a really nice guy too).

but anyway. i should be reunited with my wallet soon. there ARE good people in this country after all. :)

prom night

last weekend we had our annual firm's dinner & dance at sf's city hall. impressive building it is.

it was a lavish event, it's amazing how much money is thrown into such an event, what with child malnutrition and extreme poverty on the other side of the world.

nevertheless, it was tons of fun. took my sister, krista and ajay as my date(s), and did some eating, drinking and dancing.

apr 27th. the date's creeping up on me.

it's been a while since i've taken an exam, and that'll be a big day for me. haven't studied much for the GMATs yet (hard to get into the studying mood after years of not having to study for ANYTHING), but i gotta do it soon.

p.s. is it emasculating for a guy to let a girl order everything at a restaurant?
