stars are blind

i don't believe i'm blogging about paris hilton.

okay the song itself isn't as bad as you think it would be, but the video is wayyy too boppy. check out her music video below, otherwise msn video has one with much higher resolution.

finding flight fares

couple of must-check-outs for those bitten by the travel bug.

kayak: combs other bargain sites to provide a pretty comprehensive summary on the lowest fares. neat feature is a dial that allows you to change the departure/arrival time without reloading the page.

farecast: also has a graph that shows the recent fare trends and predicts fares uniquely for dates and cities. currently in beta, only has flights to/from seattle and boston. ping me if you want an invite for a login.

bye orbitz!!!

smackbook?

hahaha smacking to switch OSes. imagine at a cafe where all these people are hitting their notebooks left and right.

not exactly a reason why i would get the macbook, but what the heck, it's novel.

never enough

"so when will you be back next?", she asks.
"i don't know, i really don't." i hug her tighter.
"what about chinese new year?"
"at the very latest", i promise.
it's never see you later, or see you next weekend!
always a ticking clock, counting down the seconds till i won't have her anymore
i hug her whenever possible, to show i'm still hers
will always be, her little girl
life is always solveable when she's around.
many times i wonder if i'll be completely happy here.

malaysia

my heart aches for my home country.

caught up a bit on current news back home over the dinner table yesterday night. malaysia's always been a rich country: minerals, natural resources, and people, but i learn more about being exploited on trade, tiffs with neighboring countries, prejudicism within the country. we fight over airspace, water, sand, petroleum. why can't we all respect each other, work hand-in-hand to achieve symbiotic results.

sometimes countries can act like kids. we need someone to pull them apart and smack their hand.
