reflections
i realize i don't have very many goals. someone told me to list down what i'd like to do on 43things.com and i realize i had trouble writing anything, not because i didn't like to do anything in particular, but that i didn't feel strongly enough about doing anything that was worth writing down. independently, my manager asked me if i reflect on my life. when i said 'erm i don't think so?', he encouraged me to think about what i've achieved so far in the year and make sure that it fit into my career and personal goals.
maybe this is the reason why i don't care to have resolutions. if i were to write down what i'd like to do in a year, and i don't do any of it (because i didn't care strongly about them in the first place), then i'd feel miserable because it would look like i didn't achieve anything. i'd be happier if i didn't write the list in the first place.
do i really rush through life? am i that type of person who rushes around doing things that i don't stop to think of an end goal? should i start a list? i believe i know what i want career-wise, but what personal goals should i have? i don't want to have life whizz by me without me knowing.

Not long ago, I was just like you. I only know what I want career-wise very strongly.
But now, I believe that both career and personal goals have to be aligned/planned very closely. E.g. I dont think its very helpful if i start specialising in a niche market in the UK or EU area when I want to move on to Asia eventually.
Good post. Made me reflect again abit too :)
