girly or not
oh dear good gracious. another coworker just mentioned that i'm not a typical girly girl, and they actually meant it as a compliment.
strange how people tell me these things voluntarily, it's really not like i asked them about it. and i guess i somewhat agree, but what is it specifically? that i usually don't wear makeup? or that i occasionally use the word 'stripper'.

So, as the person who made that statement, I feel strangely compelled to defend my statement. :) First, it had absolutely NOTHING to do with physical attributes. Second, the contextual use of the word 'stippers' - which until then was a damn fine word - placed it firmly in the scary words category. Stippers:Parents::Oil:Water, they don't and shouldn't mix. I was simply saying that, unlike a few of my other friends, she is very easy to get along with. :)
